Student Organization Fair

The Student Org Fair is a school-wide event for the purpose of allowing incoming 1Ls and returning students the opportunity to gain information on the available organizations, speak to organization leaders, and become members of groups that they have interest in.

Lawyering Under Pressure: Legal Challenges to the Federal Government

Join attorneys from Keker, Van Nest and Peters, the San Francisco City Attorney's Office, and other firms at the forefront of the fight against the Trump Administration. Hear how our panelists decide who, where, and how to sue the federal government; how non-profit, city, and commercial law firms collaborate; and why panelists do what they do. Sponsored by the American Constitution Society, all are welcome.

Addressing Risks from D.C.: Big Law in the Trump Era

Earlier this year, the Trump administration issued executive orders targeting several of the nation's leading law firms. Please join us for a discussion of the impact these orders have had on the legal industry. David Lat-founder of Above the Law and the Substack newsletter Original Jurisdiction, columnist at Bloomberg Law, a journalist covering Biglaw for the past 20 years, and a former Assistant U.S. Attorney-will discuss what law firms' response to the executive orders reveals about the ethics, economics, and politics of Big Law.

Docket Call

There won’t be any speakers for this—it’s just docket call, a two-day event our school hosts where all the student organizations can promote themselves and introduce their groups to both new and returning students.

Interest Meeting (evening)

The event will be to welcome current members back for the year and to recruit incoming 1Ls to join the chapter. There will also be discussions for our upcoming events. There will be no guest speakers (other than the E-board), no RSVP required, and no co-sponsors.
