ACS Texas (Austin) will be co-sponsoring Change it Up's Happy Hour for a second time. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with the liberal and public interest student organizations and promote ACS.
Started by students in 2013, Change It Up! is Texas Law’s annual public-interest orientation. Our Friday afternoon program gives us a chance to welcome law students into the social justice community at the law school, and to strengthen our networks and resources among public-interest students, organizations, faculty, staff, alumni, and local attorneys.
CIU 2024! will begin with formal remarks, followed by lunch and conversation at subject-specific tables, a panel featuring recent graduates who practice public interest law, and opportunities to connect with like-minded students, faculty, staff and attorneys. The formal program at the law school will be followed by a student-organized happy hour off campus. Check-in starts at 12:45pm. Everyone is asked to be seated for lunch by 1:15pm.
Please join ACS & EJS for our first progressive happy hour of the semester!
Getting there: Vinyl is around the corner from Fleetwood, in the southwest corner of the same building.
Each year, the ACS Chapter at the University of Iowa College of Law, hosts a Supreme Court preview day in conjunction with the Federalist Society. At this event, each organization will have a professor speak about a case in the upcoming Supreme Court term.
Explore the history of organized labor, labor law, and the origins of Labor Day in this informative lecture presented by Wayne State University's Student Chapter and Labor@Wayne. This is the first event in a series focusing on the history of labor in Michigan, the origins of Labor, and its ongoing significance. The topic will be presented by Elizabeth Faue, Director of Labor@Wayne and the Department of Employment and Labor Relations. No RSVP is required and lunch will be provided.
