American Labor Law: The past, present, and future of workers' rights

Professor Sharon Block will have a moderated conversation with Professor Ben Sachs on the path of labor law in the United States. This conversation is especially important given new legal challenges to the labor movement in recent years. The event will be cosponsored by the Labor and Employment Action Project and the Women's Law Association.

In the final event of the labor series, join ACS Wayne State University Law Chapter in a panel discussion talking about the current state and the future of labor law in the Michigan and the United States. Panelist include: Tony Paris, lead attorney of Sugar Law Center for Economic & Social Justice; David Malinowski, Partner at Novara Tesija Catenacci McDonald & Baas PLLC; Sarah Coffey, lead organizer for Wayne Academic Union and Michigan Campaign Chair for One Fair Wage. Panel Moderator is Dean Michael Oswalt, Dean of Research and Faculty Development and Professor of Law specializing in labor & employment law.
