Success After Prison: Reimagining Rehabilitation

Join us for an inspiring conversation with Michelle Cirocco, Executive Director of the Televerde Foundation, in collaboration with Arizona State University’s Academy for Justice.

This event will explore the power of second chances, the role of education and employment in successful reentry, and the ways in which business and justice systems can collaborate to create opportunities that break the cycle of incarceration. Drawing from her personal journey and her leadership in building transformative programs for women both inside and outside of prison, Michelle will share insights into how we can collectively reimagine justice and expand pathways to empowerment.

The featured speaker for the event is Michelle Cirocco.

Justice of the Peace Panel

We brought together the three Democratic justices of the peace in Bexar County to talk about their work and answer questions from the audience. Justices of the peace in Texas are elected individuals representing relatively minor legal cases. This is still more text.

Coffee with Judge Stephen Locher

A small group of ACS students will join Judge Stephen Locher for a small group chat about Judge Locher’s path to the bench and some of the big decisions he’s had to make while there.

Executive Board Meeting

We had our October executive board meeting to discuss upcoming events. We also met with a member of the Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion Coalition to discuss opportunities for future events and more engagement from lawyers who wish to be more involved with our chapter.
