ACS New York: "The Democracy Fix" with Caroline Fredrickson

NYU School of Law, Lipton Hall, New York, NY

Join the ACS New York Lawyer Chapter alongside the ACS Student Chapter and Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law for a discussion with ACS President Caroline Fredrickson on her forthcoming book, The Democracy Fix: How to Win the Fight for Fair Rules, Fair Courts, and Fair Elections. Fredrickson analyzes how the right has seized power at every level of government. She demonstrates how the right ruthlessly focuses on building intellectual capital, winning elections, selecting judges, changing legal rules, promoting fake news, gerrymandering, and suppressing the vote—and then shows how progressives can take government back with their own disciplined and principled counter-attack.
