ACS Nashville: Voting with Conviction: Voting Rights Restoration in Tennessee and Beyond
In November 2018, a ballot initiative to restore voting rights to Floridians with a felony conviction passed in a 65-35 landslide. But today in Tennessee, more than 420,000 individuals with a past conviction are barred from the ballot box -- a higher rate than nearly every other state.
Join the ACS Nashville Chapter to learn more about voting rights restoration reforms nationally and in Tennessee. What challenges do individuals face when trying to restore their right to vote? And what's being done about it?
