ACS DC: COVID-19’s Impact on At-Risk Populations: Views from the Legal Frontlines
Marginalized communities often lack access to key life opportunities including housing, education, and transportation. The COVID-19 pandemic has not only revealed these issues, it has exacerbated the problems. Join the ACS DC, Chicago, and San Diego Lawyer Chapters for a panel that will feature practitioners in the field of employment, discrimination, housing, and consumer finance and bankruptcy. They will discuss the impact of the current crisis on at-risk populations and the lessons we can learn going forward.
This event will feature:
Jennifer Berger, Chief of the Social Justice Section, Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia
Linda Jun, Senior Policy Counsel, Americans for Financial Reform Education Fund
Michelle Thomas, Chief of the Civil Rights Section, Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia
Jonathan Silberman, Associate, Weisbrod, Matteis & Copley
