ACS Rutgers Law - Newark - ACLU of NJ: Clemency Project

ACS Rutgers Law - Newark is excited to welcome Rebecca Uwakwe, Director of the Clemency Project at the ACLU of NJ! Ms. Uwakwe will be speaking with our members about her work on the project that is centered around advocating for a holistic approach to decarceration. Through this project, the ACLU-NJ works closely with the Governor's Office and major New Jersey-based law firms and law schools to represent incarcerated people who are petitioning for commutations. We are excited to learn more about the project and the work that Ms. Uwakwe and the ACLU-NJ are doing!
