Litigating “Anti-Critical Race Theory” Bills in Public Education

Crown Building, Room 280B, Stanford, CA

Since January 2021, 42 states have introduced bills or taken other steps to restrict discussions of racism and sexism in public schools. These “anti-Critical Race Theory” bills have figured prominently in the media, in elections, and most recently, in Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing. But how are these laws impacting teachers and students on the ground – and what can we do about it? Join Stanford’s Youth & Education Advocates and the American Constitution Society on April 12th from 12:45-2pm for lunch and a panel discussion unpacking “anti-CRT” bills and their impact on public education.
