Join the American Constitution Society and Q-Law for an evening of trivia, community, and celebration of trans rights during Transgender Awareness Week! Our event is designed to do the opposite—uplift, educate, and celebrate the trans community through engaging, affirming, and fact-based fun.
Come test your knowledge on everything from LGBTQ+ history and civil rights law to pop culture icons and trans trailblazers. Enjoy snacks, prizes, and good company as we highlight the importance of inclusion and equality.
This event is open to all students and allies committed to learning, supporting, and standing up for trans rights.
Join ACS for a conversation with the Everytown for Gun Safety legal team! They’ll talk about their work on gun violence prevention, the legal battles shaping firearm regulation, and what it’s like to practice public interest law in this space. Come hear from their attorneys and ask questions about how law and advocacy intersect in real time.

Join ACS and PLA for a breakfast with Rylee Sommers-Flanagan, an SLS (and ACS!) alum who is the founder and Executive Director of Upper Seven Law, a nonprofit law firm based in Montana and dedicated to holding the powerful accountable.
Through her work at Upper Seven Law, Rylee has permanently enjoined four state laws that restricted the right to vote, effected redistricting of an unconstitutional map, and strengthened the rights and freedoms enshrined in the Montana Constitution. She is currently litigating cases related to abhorrent conditions of confinement, legalized sex discrimination, and excessive fees in violation of the Eighth Amendment, among other issues.
Are our institutions fundamentally broken? How can a country so divided govern itself? Join us for a discussion with author Osita Nwanevu on his new book "The Right of the People: Democracy and the Case for a New American Founding."
We are having members of Gideon's Promise come and talk about the organization as well as public defense.
