Join us for our panel bringing together legal, research, organizing, and public health voices on the status and impact of gender-affirming care in the courts and on the ground in California. This is a collaboration between a number of organizations at UCLA Law: American Constitution Society (ACS), OutLaw, Queer and Trans People of Color Collective (QTPOCC), the Health Law Society, and the Williams Institute.

Join ACS for bagels and coffee while we listen to oral arguments at the Supreme Court on the Second Amendment and whether individuals with domestic violence restraining orders may be prohibited from possessing firearms.

On November 7, from 4 pm to 5 pm in Room W402, student members had the opportunity to meet and talk with ACS National President Russ Feingold and Executive Vice President Zinelle October. They talked about the mission of ACS, nominations and confirmations to the federal judiciary, ACS Networking, and a Q&A session at the end.

The Executive Board welcomes members and interested students to join us in the atrium of the law school to enjoy donuts and coffee before class during the lead up to finals.

ACS, the Black Law Students Association, and UChicago Defenders will co-host our lunch talk, Pursuing Justice Through Public Defense - A Conversation with Cook County Public Defender Sharone Mitchell, at 12:15pm in Room I. The Q&A will be moderated by Professor Adam Davidson and discuss Mr. Mitchell's career and experience navigating social justice and the law.
