Purdue Pharma Goes to (Bankruptcy) Court: The Future of Mass Tort Litigation from Asbestos to the Opioid Crisis

Please join the American Constitution Society for a lunchtime discussion focused on the past, present, and future of mass tort multidistrict litigation in bankruptcy court, with a focus on the Purdue Pharma case before the Supreme Court this term. The discussion will be moderated by Professor Andrew Bradt and will feature The Honorable William Lafferty, Bankruptcy Judge in the Northern District of California and Professor Kenneth Ayotte. Students will have the opportunity to ask the panelists questions. Lunch will be provided!

Labor Law and Organizing

Temple Law ACS, Temple Law Sports and Entertainment Law Society, Temple Democrats, and the Political and Civil Rights Society present a panel on current events in labor law, labor organizing, and how students can get involved. Panelists include Steve Leshinski of SAG-AFTRA, Jesús Fernandez of TUGSA (Temple University Graduate Students' Union), Professor Ken Jacobsen, and Alex Suarez of the Temple Social Justice Lawyering Clinic. Professor Jennifer Lee will moderate the discussion.
