ACS NE Ohio: Gerrymandering in Ohio – The Path Forward
Please join the ACS NE Ohio Lawyer Chapter and the CMBA for lunch and briefing by Dr. Kareem Crayton, and former Ohio Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor, on the efforts to amend the Ohio Constitution to end gerrymandering. The citizen-led constitutional amendment put forth by Citizens Not Politicians, which is on the ballot in November, would replace the current Ohio Redistricting Commission with an independent body selected directly by citizens. Come and join a lively discussion with non-partisan experts to learn how this would work and what it would mean for Ohio. Boxed lunch will be served.
Featuring:
Dr. Kareem Crayton, Vice President, Brennan Center for Justice
Hon. Maureen O'Connor, Former Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Ohio
