ACS Bay Area: 2023-2024 U.S. Supreme Court Term in Review
Please join the ACS Bay Area Lawyer Chapter for our Annual U.S. Supreme Court Term in Review virtual Event. We are excited to announce that California Supreme Court Justice Goodwin H. Liu, Jennifer Bennett, and Cynthia Stein are confirmed speakers. The panelists will be discussing several recent decisions addressing the power of administrative agencies; statutory interpretation decisions, including those concerning Title VII and the Federal Arbitration Act; the interaction between the First Amendment and social media platforms; cases affecting the scope of state authority, including with respect to homelessness and the Takings Clause; and decisions reflecting the Supreme Court’s evolving approach to the use of history in answering questions of federal law.
