Criminal Justice Data in the Courtroom

Join ACS as they host Tracy Siska, Executive Director of the Chicago Justice Project. Mr. Siska will discuss the importance of considering criminal justice data for policymakers and the judiciary, along with what that data teaches us about criminal justice issues.

General Members Meeting

We will be meeting with all members of our ACS chapter. We will brainstorm ideas for events for the upcoming semester, begin preliminary planning of events, discuss current events, and build community among chapter members over lunch. We expect to have between 15 and 25 members present.

ACS Minnesota: Fourteenth Amendment, Section 2: A Case for Democracy?

Section Two of the 14th Amendment says states that suppress voting rights can lose representation in Congress. But for over 150 years, it hasn't been enforced. As interest in lesser known sections of the 14th Amendment grows, ACS is offering the opportunity to explore the history of this nearly forgotten provision and to take a look at a lawsuit that attempts to revive it.

Please join the ACS At Large, Austin, Minnesota, NE Ohio, San Diego, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison Lawyer Chapters as Todd Drezner, Director of PBS film Fourteen Section Two, introduces a segment of his upcoming release.

  • Todd Drezner, Director, “Fourteen Section Two”
  • Jared Pettinato, Plaintiff’s counsel in Citizens for Constitutional Integrity v. Census Bureau, No. 1:21-cv-3045-CJN-JRW-FYP (D.D.C.)
