ACS Columbia: Discussion on the Alien Enemies Act Litigation

The Columbia Law School Chapter of the American Constitution Society will host a discussion on the Alien Enemies Act litigation to prevent the Trump administration from deporting Venezuelan Americans for alleged association with Tren de Aragua. The discussion will feature Patrick Toomey, deputy director of the ACLU National Security Project.

Specifically, the deterioration of checks on the executive branch and how we can expect that to reshape the structure of the government -- from the administrative state to civil liberties.
