Please join the ACS Texas Lawyer Chapters to discuss the ongoing redistricting fight in Texas, which has the potential to reshape democracy nationwide for generations. We will be joined by State Representative James Talarico and election law professor David Griggs, who will explain the potential impact of the proposed maps, as well as the political and legal strategies being implemented against them. Learn about the impact redistricting can have on our democracy and how to engage on these issues.

Current paid members can cast their ballots either via email or at the in-person meeting on Wednesday, August 20. Register for the meeting TODAY. Current paid members voting by email must request their ballot by Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 12:00 pm and submit their completed ballot no later than Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11:59 pm. This is the first in-person meeting the Thurgood Marshall School of Law chapter will have as a leadership team for the 2025-2026 academic year. We will be getting to know one another better, while collaborating on ideas concerning potential events for the year.
