ACS Bay Area: The Trump Administration's (Second) First 100 Days

President Trump has made rapid-fire changes to nearly every corner of the U.S. government. Policies, programs, and entire governmental departments have been dramatically overhauled, if not eliminated, and accepted norms and basic principles of the rule of law questioned, if not eviscerated. He also launched existential attacks on local governments, universities, law firms, and other institutions that depend on federal funding or access to the federal government. In short, it has been hard to keep up. Please join the ACS Bay Area Lawyer Chapter, ACS UC Law San Francisco, and Keker, Van Nest & Peters LLP for a conversation, moderated by Ajay Krishnan, with David Chiu, Alexis Loeb, and Ismail Ramsey, to discuss and reflect on the Trump Administration's first 100 days in office. The program will focus not just on what has happened in the first 100 days but what all of us -- current and former federal employees, local and state governments, private law firms, non-profit organizations, and more -- can do going forward.

Featuring:

David Chiu, City Attorney of San Francisco

Alexis Loeb, Partner, Farella Braun + Martel LLP

Ismail Ramsey, Former United States Attorney, U.S. Department of Justice

Moderated by:

Ajay Krishnan, Partner, Keker, Van Nest & Peters; Board Member, ACS Bay Area Lawyer Chapter

Student-Faculty Mixer

This event will be a mixer for students and faculty at CUNY Law. Our student-faculty mixer last month was a huge success, and we've gotten requests for another opportunity for students and faculty to connect outside of class. This will also be a chance for the incoming Executive Board members for the 2025-2026 school year to introduce themselves to potential new members.
