The American Constitution Society will host an event in the law commons to recognize Constitution Day. We will have a speaker, D.C. attorney Abbe Lowell, who will appear via Zoom to talk with the students. Lunch will be provided.

Join convention Delegate Mae Nan Ellingson, former Governor Marc Racicot, UM Law Professor Constance Van Kley, and Upper Seven Law's Executive Director Rylee Sommers-Flanagan for an engaging discussion about the purpose and power of constitutions, how the state and federal constitutions interact, and why the Montana Constitution serves as a landmark constitution for democratic republics across the nation and the world.

Expungement, Public Service, and Judicial Impact

Judge Gammage will join us for lunch to discuss expungement, including how he came to start the expungement externship at NDLS and how he came to care so much about expungement as a legal issue, and his pathway to the bench, including his work with the prosecutor's office, the public defender's office, and the City of South Bend.
