Speaker Bio:

John Kowal is a former program officer in the Democracy Program of the Ford Foundation and is currently the vice president for programs at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law. At the Center Kowal is responsible for coordinating and guiding the organization’s programs on Democracy, Justice, and Liberty and National Security.
