The Honorable Denise Clayton - Chief Judge of the Kentucky Court of Appeals

The Honorable Denise Clayton, Chief Judge of the Kentucky Court of Appeals, visits ACS and BLSA at UK Law to speak on the Gavel Gap and the issues that arise because of the differences in race between those on the bench and the communities they serve. Chief Judge Clayton is the first African American woman to serve as Chief Judge on the Kentucky Court of Appeals. In addition to serving as Chief Judge, she is also the chairwoman for the Chief Justice’s Commission on Racial Fairness for Jefferson County’s courts.
