Professor Jack Balkin of Yale Law School literally wrote the book on progressives’ vision for the future of the Constitution, entitled The Constitution in 2020. Well, a decade after that book was published, it’s now 2020 – and in many ways the present looks far different than any progressive would have hoped.  

Come hear from this leading constitutional scholar in conversation with Professor Erin Delaney – they will reflect on progressives’ goals at the outset of the Obama administration, what led us to the current moment of severe stress on our Constitution, and the best path forward to a constitutional vision around which progressives can mobilize and launch an era of urgently needed democratic renewal.
