Suppressed: The Right to Vote Screening

Room 101, Villanova, PA

This will be a screening of Brave New Films' Suppressed: The Fight to Vote—a documentary weaving together the personal stories of Georgia voters during the 2018 midterm elections. Through place closures, voter purges, missing absentee ballots, extremes wait times, and a host of voter ID issues, an undeniable picture of voter suppression is painted while Stacey Abrams fought to become the first Black female governor in the United States. Opening remarks will be given by Mark Alexander, Dean of Villanova Law School and election law professor.
