Sexual Violence x Due Process

The Stanford Law ACS Student Chapter is proud to welcome Alexandra Brodsky, civil rights attorney and author, who will speak on the complicated intersection of recent feminist movements to protect victims and concerns about fairness to the accused. In her new book, Sexual Justice: Supporting Victims, Ensuring Due Process, and Resisting the Conservative Backlash (Metropolitan, August 2021), Alexandra argues that fair process can and must be a core part of the #MeToo movement--but that we should be wary of an anti-feminist backlash that has co-opted due process values to roll back progress on sexual harassment. For this event we are happy to have our very own SLS Professor Barbara Fried moderate this discussion.
