Private Censorship, Free Speech, and Public Policy
Join the Columbia Law ACS Student Chapter and the Society for Law, Science, and Technology for a panel discussion on the legal and political consequences of censorship on major social media platforms. Experts in free speech and tech policy will discuss the implications of the policy decisions made by Twitter and Facebook following the January 6th Capitol Riot.
Joining us are Lee Bollinger (Columbia Law School, President of Columbia University), Colin Stretch (Columbia Law School, former General Counsel of Facebook), Katie Fallow (Knight First Amendment Institute), and Nora Benavidez (PEN America). The panel will be moderated by Nadine Strossen (New York Law School, former President of the ACLU).
