Poll Watching Event

ACS and the Democracy Law Project are partnering with Common Cause to train and place Poll Monitors on Election Day (11/6/18). Common Cause is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization dedicated to upholding the core values of U.S. democracy. The hours spent training and PollWatching are Penn Law Pro Bono Eligible, but the hours are NOT eligible for the NY Bar. For the 2018 election, Common Cause and its coalition partners will be training and placing poll monitors at polling locations throughout Pennsylvania. Poll monitors will have the following tasks for the location assigned: Observing administration of elections from outside the polling location, assisting voters in answering questions (at polling locations and/or hotline) and voter access concerns and Reporting election irregularities or incidents; evidence gathering for potential legal contests.
