More about ACS:
The American Constitution Society (ACS) is a progressive legal organization focused on ensuring the law serves as a force for democracy, public interest, and improving people's lives. It aims to realize the promises of the Constitution by building a diverse legal community dedicated to defending democracy, equity, liberty, access to justice, and the rule of law. ACS has a large network of student and lawyer chapters across the United States and works to shape debates on key legal and public policy issues.
The mission of ACS is to support and advocate for laws and legal systems that redress the founding failures of our Constitution, strengthen our democratic legitimacy, uphold the rule of law, and realize the promise of equality for all, including people of color, women, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, and other historically excluded communities.
