Litigating Prison Conditions with Mental Health Experts: A Panel Conversation

This panel will bring together two lawyers and two mental health experts, to talk about their collaborative work in prison and jail litigation, and how doctors and lawyers can work together to make mass incarceration less damaging to people with mental illness. Come if you're interested in criminal justice, mental health, or civil rights litigation. Panelists are: 

* Dr. Debra Pinals, UM professor and medical director of behavioral health and forensic programs for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

* Dr. Craig Haney, psychology professor at U.C. Santa Cruz and noted expert on solitary confinement.

* Amy Fettig, Deputy Director of the ACLU's National Prison Project and director, ACLU Stop Solitary campaign.

* Margo Schlanger, UM law professor.
