LGBTQIA+ Rights and the Bostock Decision

Zoom

The Bostock decision, was a consolidation of three cases, one of which was Stephens v. R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes. Plaintiff Aimee Stephens was hired at a funeral home as a male but was fired upon informing her employer of her intentions to transition to female. This case did not go unnoticed and was brought before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which ultimately resulted in victory for Ms. Stephens and the LGBTQUIA+ community.

Join the ACS Wake Forest Student Chapter for a special event, where you will get the opportunity to hear from three attorneys with the EEOC, and represented Ms. Stephens at various points in her case, including at the district court and Sixth Circuit. Through this event, the attorneys will share their work on the case as well as their thoughts on the Supreme Court decision. This is an event you won’t want to miss!
