Latinx Perspectives in Policy and Law

Jeffries Hall 0225, Ann Arbor, MI

The Latinx Law Students Association, Michigan Immigration and Labor Law Association, and ACS will host a panel discussion on Latinx perspectives in policy and law, with a particular emphasis on immigration. In light of the recent Supreme Court order in Noem v. Vasquez-Perdomo, which has cleared the way for ICE agents to treat race as a ground for immigration stops, we believe this discussion is more critical than ever.

Our speakers at this event are:

Professor Luis C. De Baca, Professor from Practice at Michigan Law and former director of the State Department’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons under the Obama Administration

Professor Kristina Fullerton Rico, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Racial Justice at the Ford School of Public Policy

Andrea Flores, Vice President of Immigration Policy & Campaigns of FWD.us
