Juvenile Justice Reform

The American Constitution Society student chapter at UHLC, along with co-sponsors the Center for Children, Law & Policy and the Criminal Law Association, are proud to present Dr. Joe Janes, Dr. Aaron Brown, and Professor Anthony Charles from the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law at Swansea University. In anticipation of their forthcoming presentation at the American Society of Criminal Justice in Atlanta, our three extraordinary guest speakers will discuss the intersection between children's rights and juvenile justice, exciting research in the field of "youth justice," and how Wales's innovative changes to its juvenile justice system have changed the landscape of juvenile treatment in Wales by incorporating children’s rights. This exciting panel will take place at noon on November 12th in 144 BLB. There will be a Q&A to follow the panel discussion. Lunch will be provided for the first 75 attendees.
