"Islam and the Future of Tolerance" Screening

A screening of "Islam and the Future of Tolerance" followed by a Q&A session with the director, Jay Shapiro, and one of the speakers from the film, Yasmine Mohammed. 

The film is an adaptation of the book by the same name between Sam Harris, an American atheist and general critic of religion, and Maajid Nawaz, a British-Pakistani Muslim who has devoted much of his adult life to speaking with individuals at risk for radicalization and promoting the compatibility between Islam and secular/liberal values. This movie (and book) was published with the explicit purpose of furthering difficult conversations about Islam without devolving into bigotry or caricature.
