SMU Law ACS is excited to announce our main event this semester on March 19th from 5 pm-7:30pm. The event is called, Empowering Equality: Navigating Legal Issues of the Modern Family. SMU Law Professor Natalie Nanasi and Callie Butcher will each be giving lectures. The event will cover protective orders in the wake of Rahimi and parental rights regarding gender affirming care for children. This is an evening event, but is open to student and attorneys! We are also excited to announce that a number of North Texas non-profits will be joining us. They will table at the start of the event. This list includes Hope's Door, the Family Place, Conference on Crimes Against Women, Transgender Education Network of Texas and Genesis. They will be offering volunteer opportunities.
