Conversation with Congresswoman Grace Meng

On Tuesday (4/16) at noon, please join APALSA and ACS in welcoming Congresswoman Grace Meng! Grace Meng is serving her fourth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Grace represents the Sixth Congressional District of New York encompassing the New York City borough of Queens, including west, central and northeast Queens. Grace is the first and only Asian American Member of Congress from New York State and the first female Congress member from Queens since former Vice Presidential nominee Geraldine Ferraro. She is a member of the powerful House Appropriations Committee and its Subcommittees on State and Foreign Operations, Homeland Security, and Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies. She will be speaking with students about her experience as a political candidate and member of the House, as well as how Asian Americans can succeed in politics. Lunch will be served!
