*CANCELLED* ACS Minneapolis-St. Paul: Lessons Learned from Ferguson - Building Community Trust with the Police, the Courts, and the Criminal Justice System

Dorsey & Whitney LLP, Minneapolis, MN

Join the ACS Minneapolis-St. Paul Lawyer Chapter for a discussion on community-police trust, fairness in the criminal justice system, and public safety with Judge Mark Kappelhoff.

Prior to joining the bench, Judge Kappelhoff participated in the U.S. Justice Department’s civil rights investigation of the Ferguson Police Department and will talk about his experiences with Ferguson and the lessons we can learn. He will also discuss how the findings of that investigation provide important insights for law enforcement, lawyers, the judiciary, the criminal justice system, and the community on the issues of building police-community trust, addressing issues of bias in the criminal justice system, and ensuring public safety.

Featuring:

Hon. Mark Kappelhoff, Judge, Fourth Judicial District of Minnesota
