ACS Presents: Exoneration and Innocence with Jarrett Adams

Zoom

Please join the UChicago ACS Student Chapter for a discussion with Jarrett Adams.

Jarrett Adams was wrongfully convicted of sexual assault in 2000 and sentenced to 28 years in a maximum security prison. After years of appeals, the Wisconsin Innocence Project challenged his conviction, which was then vacated by the Seventh Circuit in 2006.

Following his release, Jarrett obtained his JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2015, completed a public interest fellowship with Judge Ann Claire Williams of the Seventh Circuit, and joined the Innocence Project as a Post-Conviction Litigation Fellow in 2016. In 2017, Jarrett founded his own law firm in New York, which specializes in civil rights and criminal defense.
