ACS Oregon: Criminal Justice Reform: New Avenues for Change

The ACS Oregon Lawyer Chapter welcomes you to a panel discussion on new avenues for addressing criminal justice reform, including discussions of mandatory minimum sentencing reform, Oregon legislation that would create reconsideration petitions for convictions, ending cash bail, enhancing expungements, and alternative avenues for legislation to address ways to fight criminality rather than criminalizing conduct.

Join our highly distinguished panel as they talk about these topics, and how change can come from progressive district attorneys and the legislature alike.

Featuring:

Ryan Anfuso, Founder, Anfuso Law, P.C.

Janis Puracal, Executive Director, Forensic Justice Project

Hon. Mike Schmidt, Multnomah County District Attorney

Zach Winston, Policy Director, Oregon Justice Resource Center

Moderated by:

Aliza Kaplan, Professor of Lawyering and Director of the Criminal Justice Reform Clinic, Lewis & Clark Law School
