ACS North Carolina: Black History Month Supreme Court Justice Panel

Saint Augustine's University, Raleigh, NC

In honor of Black History Month, join the Capital City Lawyers Association, the Honors College and Department of Social Sciences at Saint Augustine’s University, and the North Carolina Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society for a panel discussion featuring the three African-American Justices on the Supreme Court of North Carolina.

According to the ACS Gavel Gap report, people of color make up roughly four in ten people in the country but fewer than two in ten judges. In sixteen states, judges of color account for fewer than one in ten state judges. Given these facts, we are even more proud of the diverse representation on our highest court and want to celebrate it this month.

Featuring:

The Honorable Cheri Beasley, Justice, Supreme Court of North Carolina

The Honorable Anita Earls, Justice, Supreme Court of North Carolina

The Honorable Michael Morgan, Justice, Supreme Court of North Carolina
