ACS Madison: Undermining Justice and Democracy in Wisconsin: Extraordinary Proposals to Restrict the Powers of the Incoming Attorney General

Location TBD

Republican lawmakers in the Wisconsin State Assembly are considering a radical lame-duck proposal to limit the powers of Governor-elect Tony Evers and Attorney General-elect Josh Kaul. This is the latest in a string of efforts by state legislatures around the country to threaten checks and balances crucial to the rule of law.

The health of our state’s democracy is at stake. Join the Madison and Milwaukee Lawyer Chapters of the American Constitution Society for a timely and urgent discussion on of how the proposals seek to constrain the powers of the Attorney General’s office and what you can do to help.

Featuring:

The Honorable James E. Doyle, Jr., former Wisconsin Governor (2003-2011) and Attorney General (1991-2003)
