ACS Florida: Presentation of the George Sheldon Public Interest Award and Discussion on Florida and the Presidential Transition

Join the South Florida, Tampa, and North Florida ACS Lawyer Chapters to honor Lansing "Lanse" Scriven as the recipient of the 2020 George Sheldon Public Interest Award. Scriven, one of Tampa's most highly regarded business-litigation attorneys, has for decades dedicated himself to civic service, from volunteering with, and serving on the board of, the Innocence Project of Florida, to serving as president of both the George Edgecomb Bar Association and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. See here for more information (link to press release).

Following the presentation, the South Florida, Tampa, and North Florida ACS Lawyer Chapters will host a discussion with two Floridians who worked in the White House to discuss their path towards politically appointed positions within the federal government.

ACS is mobilizing its network and collaborating with other organizations to identify a pool of diverse, experienced candidates who are interested in government service. We have created a talent database for lawyers seeking presidential appointments. Learn more here.
