A Conversation with Judge AliKhan

UPenn Carey School of Law, Silverman 240B, Philadelphia, PA

The American Constitution Society invites you to a lunchtime conversation with Judge AliKhan of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, moderated by Penn Law Professor Kate Shaw.

Judge AliKhan serves on one of the nation's busiest and most consequential federal trial courts, which hears a wide range of cases involving constitutional questions, federal agencies, and matters of national significance. She will share insights from her path to the bench, discuss what a federal district judge's work looks like day to day, and reflect on the role trial courts play in shaping and applying the law.

This is a great opportunity for students interested in litigation, judicial clerkships, public service, or constitutional law to hear directly from a sitting federal judge. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions about her career, the experiences that prepared her for the bench, and her advice for law students. Lunch will be provided.
