Texas Law - Due Process Rights for Non-Citizens
This event will feature a panel of practicing attorneys discussing the extent to which non-citizens possess due process rights. The goal of the event is to better understand the rights of non-citizens under both the U.S. Constitution and federal statutes, with particular focus paid to due process rights in the context of immigration enforcement.
The confirmed panelists include Jonathan Levy, Director of Pro Bono Programs at American Gateways, and Caroline Solis, Director of Holistic Practice at the Travis County Public Defender's Office. The panel will be moderated by an ACS board member. After taking pre-written questions from the moderator, the panelists will take questions from the audience.
Lunch will be provided. Attendees will be asked to sign-in at the event, but they will not be required to RSVP in advance.
