ACS New York: Reproductive Rights One Year into Trump Administration

Join the ACS New York Lawyer Chapter for a timely and critical discussion on reproductive rights in today’s political climate. The United States is one year into the first federal administration openly supportive of restricting abortion access in the post-Dobbs era. During its first year, the Trump administration has overseen sustained attacks on abortion access, including congressional efforts to defund providers and executive actions rolling back federal protections established under the Biden administration. This event will take stock of where things stand today, examining recent federal attacks on Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers, the current legal status of medication abortion, and efforts to prosecute physicians for prescribing medication abortion. Bringing together legal experts, the panel will provide context on how these federal actions are affecting the delivery of reproductive health care and what they signal for the future of reproductive rights.
