States and the Making of American Constitutional Law

The Honorable Jeffrey S. Sutton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and Dean Emeritus Steven H. Steinglass of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law will discuss the importance of state constitutions in the practice of Constitutional Law. Judge Sutton will bring up points from his recently published book, 51 Imperfect Solutions, while Mr. Steinglass will reflect upon his experience working on the Ohio Constitution Modernization Commission. Each speaker will discuss points in which they agree with the other speaker, as well as points in which their opinions diverge.
