Public. Resource. Org Moot

Thursday, November 14 | 5:30pm | WCC B010

Please join ACS, FedSoc, the Harvard Law Review, the Law and Technology Society and the Rule of Law Society in a moot of the respondent in Georgia v. Public.Resource.Org. The case presents the question of whether the government edicts doctrine extends to-and thus renders uncopyrightable-works that lack the force of law, such as the annotations in the Official Code of Georgia Annotated. The case centers around Georgia’s decision to accord copyright protection to its only official set of state laws — a LexisNexis publication. Eric Citron, a partner at Goldstein & Russell P.C., will argue for the respondent before a panel composed of Kendra Albert, Ann Bartow, Kyle Courtney, and Rebecca Tushnet.

Dinner will be served.

Audience members will be required to disclaim any conflicts and maintain strict confidentiality.
