Law & The #MeToo Movement

Fordham Law School Bateman Room, New York, NY

The #MeToo Movement led to a public reckoning around sex and power in America and in many ways is a reaction to an inadequate legal regime. This event, sponsored by the Stein Scholars Program, will explore the ways in which law empowers or silences survivors. Panelists from a diverse array of professional backgrounds will discuss topics including intersectionality and the #MeToo movement, access to justice for victims and accused, the role of modern technology and platforms in the movement, and finally, next steps for the #MeToo movement.Â
