DHS v. Regents and the Future of DACA

https://northwestern.zoom.us/j/92573474697

Earlier this year, the Supreme Court issued its decision in Department of Homeland Security vs. Regents of the University of California—a case that had the potential to upend the lives of some 800,000 young people whose families brought them to the United States as children. The court found that the Trump Administration’s decision to end the program was “arbitrary and capricious,” and therefore granted temporary relief to DACA recipients, otherwise known as “Dreamers.” Although the Court’s decision was a sigh of relief for many Dreamers, DACA is still in limbo and its future is uncertain.

Join the ACS Northwestern Student Chapter for a discussion with various Immigration Law and DACA experts to gain information on how DACA may or may not evolve in the coming years, and what the Supreme Court’s decision actually means.
