Keynote Address by Justice John Paul Stevens and Acting U.S. Associate Attorney General Tony West

During the 2013 National Convention on Friday, June 14, Justice John Paul Stevens gave keynote remarks to the 2013 ACS National Convention. Teresa Wynn Roseborough, Deputy General Counsel, Metlife Legal Affairs, introduced Justice Stevens. Following Justice Stevens’ speech, Peter Edelman, Chair of the ACS Board, introduced Acting U.S. Associate Attorney General Tony West.  The event also featured remarks by ACS President Caroline Fredrickson and the presentation of the ACS Progressive Champion Award to Brad Smith, General Counsel and Executive Vice President, Legal and Corporate Affairs at Microsoft. Charlie Salem, Managing Director, Public Policy at Microsoft, gave remarks on behalf of Brad Smith. Lawyer Chapter Awards were presented by ACS Board Member Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar and Jill Dash, Director of Lawyer Chapters at ACS.
