Washington, DC – The Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) released draft guidelines pertaining to mergers and antitrust. In response to the draft guidelines, the American Constitution Society released the following statement:

“ACS welcomes the draft merger guidelines released by the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission,” said ACS President Russ Feingold. “The proposed guidelines represent critical reform to counter mega-mergers and market consolidation at the expense of competition. We encourage our members to submit feedback on the draft guidelines during the comment period, in order to help the DOJ and the FTC ensure that the antitrust laws address today’s market realities.”
