ACS Insider: McCullen and Hobby Lobby


In McCullen v. Coakley, lawyers for McCullen seek to ban all buffer zones outside abortion clinics so that pro-life advocates may provide involuntary “counseling” to those seeking access to health care. Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby, which will be argued in March, attempts to extend corporate personhood by allowing companies to deny their employees contraceptive health care coverage that offends the employers’ religious beliefs. Veteran reporter, Yale Law School professor and ACS Board Member Linda Greenhouse broke down the issues before the Court in these cases.
